Whats this all about then? My mate just rang me and told me she thought I should make a blogger. So here I am making a blogger, and wondering what on earth it is. She's got a blogger, apparantly. I guess I have a blogger too, bloggers of the world untie, or unite, whatever floats your boat. Talking of floating boats, have you ever had one of those banana float things, you usually get them at the seaside, well thats really the only place I had one. At the ice cream shop, when I was little, mum and dad had saved all year to take us to a rainy seaside place, where they have gritty fish and chips and sandy sandwiches, and as a treat we could go to the icecream parlour. I never understood what the floating bit of a banana float was, it was a blob of icecream, on an almost thawed out, frozen banana, that had been sliced down the middle and layed side by side. Icecream resting on thawing nanas would be a more apt name I think, but I guess banana float works too. But whats a knickerbocker glory about then? I just remembered, some places called them a banana split, I think thats a better name too.... better than banana float. Here is a little bit of useless information, I say useless, but if you're writing an essay about icecream deserts then it might be very useful.
USELESS FACT

"The knickerbocker glory is a very elaborate ice cream sundae that is served in the United Kingdom. It goes well beyond the banana split, itself a rich dessert. The knickerbocker glory was first described in the 1930s and contains ice cream, jelly, fruit and cream. Layers of these different sweet tastes are alternated in a tall glass and are topped with kinds of syrup, nuts and whipped cream.A knickerbocker was a descendant of the original settlers from Holland. The name comes from the fictional Diedrich Knickerbocker, who "wrote" Washington Irving's History of New York. Knickerbockers, or knickers, are also old-time knee-length men's pants that nowadays are seen on the rare golfer. How the name became connected to the sundae is not known. "
